PARISIAN NIGHTS – 6 Enchanting Places to Call Home
As a Geneva resident for several years, I am rediscovering the ultimate pleasure of Parisian life during (often) professional interludes. While dining at restaurants was already part of my daily routine when I lived in the capital, the same cannot be said for hotels, where I would only catch a glimpse – at best – of their restaurants during a dinner or a business breakfast. To combine business with pleasure, I now take advantage of my Parisian escapades to discover new addresses to spend one or more nights. Trendy, refined, striking, or exceptional, I am delighted to share with you my latest favorites!
Hotel de l’Abbaye: Timeless Serenity in the Heart of the 6th Arrondissement
A few years ago, I lived on Rue Cassette, just a stone’s throw away from this charming Parisian townhouse. I would often pass by its facade, secretly longing to spend a night and discover its interior. The opportunity arose after my departure for Geneva. This place, steeped in history, encapsulates all the charm that Parisian life can offer. Tastefully decorated in the 90s by Michel Boyer, an interior decorator, as well as Gisèle and Pierre-Antoine Lafortune, the first owners of the property, it is a refuge that everyone dreams of in the heart of the 6th arrondissement.
After several stays, my favorite room remains “La Parisienne,” with a view of the courtyard or the garden.
The extra detail: The interior courtyard itself, hidden from prying eyes, and its small terrace surrounded by greenery, ideal for breakfast or for a drink at the end of the day.

Price range: “La Parisienne” room: between 295 and 360 euros per night. hotelabbayeparis.com
Nolinski Hotel: Luxury, Tranquility, and Delight just steps from the Opera
While its ideal location just steps away from the Opera and the Gardens of the Palais Royal may not yet make this place “the place to sleep” in Paris, the Nolinski Hotel has all the assets to charm you. This exclusive address captivates with its intimate, discreet, and welcoming atmosphere. Stepping into the Nolinski is like entering a bubble amidst the Parisian frenzy of the Opera district.
From the sculptural spiral staircase reminiscent of old Parisian buildings, the rooms are spread over six floors. The decor is chic, refined, and meticulously crafted, never ostentatious, with warm and neutral tones.
If you choose a room on the top floor (pictured below), you can even catch a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower and its illuminated aura once night falls.

Chouchou Hotel: A Very Parisian Hideaway in the 9th Arrondissement
There’s a lot happening in this new trendy place with a distinctly Parisian vibe! Opened in 2021 and ideally located not far from the Opera, this hotel stands out with its guinguette and market-inspired concept. The highlight of this hotel is the dining room with its large glass roof under which you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner, or sip a cocktail or an aperitif while gazing at the sky. The contemporary decor is colorful with a touch of humor, embodying the unique spirit of the place.
The french touch: From Thursday to Sunday, Chouchou hosts micro-concerts and stand-up performances on a small stage, creating a vibrant atmosphere that lasts into the night under the enchanting disco ball.

Price range: between 230- 300 euros per night
Madame Rêve Hotel: On Cloud Nine in the Heart of Paris
Located in the beautifully renovated former main post office of the Louvre, one delights in settling their suitcases here after a long day of work or a leisurely stroll through Paris. The hotel is sublime, housed in a historic building. Here, all the rooms are situated on the third floor, offering breathtaking views of the Parisian rooftops or the sky from the interior courtyard. “Dreaming” takes on a whole new meaning in this place, as it is conducive to inspiration and relaxation.
My favorite room: aptly named the “Atelier with a View of the Parisian Rooftops,” with its immense glass roof that allows you to witness the city’s lights shimmering at night and wake up to the gentle caress of sunlight on the rooftops in the morning.
You can enjoy breakfast in your room or at the restaurant, with your eyes fixed on the Parisian rooftops.
The french touch: Don’t miss a visit to the rooftop to admire the magnificent view once again, with the Eiffel Tower and the Sacré-Cœur in the distance… It’s truly magical!

Price range: from 450 euros per night
Brach Hotel: A Vibrant and Inspiring Haven in the Chic 16th Arrondissement
Brach Hotel is part of the transformation happening in Paris’ 16th arrondissement! With a lively atmosphere, this establishment has been designed as a true living space, combining a hotel, restaurants, patisserie, spa, fitness center, and even a rooftop garden!
The hotel’s decoration, crafted by Philippe Starck, is multicultural and eclectic, an invitation to creativity and travel… without compromising on comfort. Leather-covered walls, African masks, Maasai-style beads, and carefully placed books in every room create an artistic, cozy, and contemporary ambiance, with a subtle touch of luxury. The energy and exoticism of the place, serving as a source of inspiration, make Brach a trendy address in the heart of the chic yet tranquil 16th arrondissement.
The french touch: Some rooms with terraces offer a beautiful view of the illuminated Eiffel Tower, creating a truly magical experience!

D’Aubusson Hotel: Chic and Charm in the Saint-Germain District
In this former private mansion transformed into a boutique hotel, the codes of classicism have seamlessly made the transition! Parquet floors, ceiling moldings, chandeliers, and fireplaces create an atmosphere that is both intimate and soothing.
But the true gem of the place lies in the basement! A 20-meter pool, one of the largest hotel pools in Paris, is at the disposal of guests. It’s pure bliss to swim in after a day of work.
Whether enjoying a cozy fireplace in the winter or the hotel’s courtyard terrace, comfort and tranquility can be appreciated in every season.
