Chez Philippe: An Authentic New York Steakhouse

If you want a taste of New York without ever leaving Geneva, look no further than the Passage des Lions, where multi-award-winning chef Philippe Chevrier (2 Michelin stars, 19/20 rating from French restaurant guide Gault-Millau) runs his authentic steakhouse. Whether you love meat or just plain love food, Chez Philippe brings New York right to your doorstep.

Chez Philippe – Ambiance

Lively but not overly busy, Chez Philippe feels like a big New York loft with its wood floors, brick walls and long modern tables. The lighting is subdued and warm, the staff is cheerful and efficient. A great choice both for dinner dates and group outings.
Bonus points: The ground-floor bar is ideal for a quick lunch that’s not short on quality, or for a less-than-leisurely dinner with the kids. Special shoutout to their burgers!
Added bonus: There’s a gorgeous glass-enclosed terrace for summertime dining.

Chez Philippe – Cuisine

A standout, especially if you’re a meat lover. Chez Philippe could hold its own against any of New York’s famous steakhouses, serving prime cuts of Swiss, Irish and Japanese beef. If you’re not crazy about meat, try the fish or the Maine lobster.

Le Colibry’s Favorites:
Main course: Irish lamb and ginger-braised carrots
Dessert: Classic profiteroles (miniature cream puffs with ice cream and hot fudge). Share or to enjoy them all by yourself (it’s filling!).
